More Roasting Tips Remember it is the oils that give coffee it's distinctive taste and flavours. These oil are brought up during roasting. However over roasting evaporates most of these oils, thus as a guide,
It's recommended to watch the entire roasting process for best results as every batch of beans is different. Thus a roasting profile which maybe suitable of one batch of beans may not be suitable for another batch. It is good to document every roast made. Information like type of beans, the amount roasted, roasting cycles and the end results. Once completed, let the beans cool and degas ( release Carbon dioxide ) for at least 24 hours or more before using. Best to roast enough quantity for one requirement/use. As freshness is there. If not used, store them in air tight containers and in cool or refrigerated place.
